Polito Wood Fire Oven's Story

Polito wood fire ovens are made of special refractory “cotto refrattario” materials from ITALY then assembled in Australia. This manufacture was founded in 1890. Polito has been established in Melbourne for 20 years. The founder, Antonio Polito, has installed wood fire ovens both in Italy and Australia for the past 40 years. With the help of his family this business has continued to grow successfully.

Participation for a good Cause

In 2007 Polito donated a wood fire oven to the Preston Reservoir Adult Community Education Inc. to assist the course of a Women's Multicultural Bread Making course.

The donated oven exists for the community and aims to serve as a focal point to draw people from diverse cultures together in an atmosphere of harmony and cultural exchange.

The launch of this oven was also featured on the Vasilis Garden television show.
